새벽기도문

부처님, 이 새벽 고요한 시간에 제 마음을 비우고 지혜의 등불을 밝힙니다.
탐욕과 성냄, 어리석음을 놓고 자비와 평온으로 하루를 열게 하소서.
오늘 하루, 누구를 만나든 따뜻한 말과 온화한 눈빛으로 대하게 하소서.

Lord Buddha, in this quiet hour of dawn, I empty my mind and light the lamp of wisdom.
May I let go of greed, anger, and ignorance, and begin this day with compassion and peace.
May I treat everyone I meet today with warm words and gentle eyes.

신도영험록
대구에서 30년간 장사를 해오신 신도님은
매일 새벽 “관세음보살”을 108번 염하며 장사를 시작하셨습니다.
어느 날 큰 화재가 가게 앞까지 번졌지만
그 가게만 피해 없이 남아 있었다고 합니다.
신도님은 말합니다. “나는 매일 보살님과 함께 장을 엽니다.”

A devotee who ran a store in Daegu for 30 years chanted "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva" 108 times every dawn.
One day, a massive fire spread down the street—but their store alone was untouched.
The devotee says, “Every day, I open my store with the Bodhisattva.”
